Which kind of motor is it?

Infinity e-bikes and e-Race system have a brushless rear hub motor that delivers a maximum power of 250 watts with about 500 watts of peak. It is equipped with an epicycloidal reducer that allows to improve efficiency of the motor and make it work in the most silent way. Electronic control board responsible for the motor operation is fully integrated into the drive unit.

What is the maximum torque?

The maximum torque delivered by the motor for both e-Race system and Infinity e-bikes is around 40N. The 250W08 motor reaches the maximum torque at 135 wheel revolutions per minute, while 250W11 motor reaches the maximum torque at 80 wheel revolutions per minute. It means that the 250W08 motor is more recommended for routes with climbs not exceeding 10% inclination and for cyclists who weigh less than 85kg, while the 250W11 motor is supposed to be used for hilly routes with incline exceeding 10%.

Does the motor have internal brake resistance?

The motor has a built-in free wheel, which means that there’s no resistance from the motor when it is not assisting (for example, when your battery is empty or when you’re going faster than the maximum rotation speed of the engine).

Does the motor recuperate energy?

At the moment it is not possible.

What are the warnings for cleaning?

The motor and electronic components are waterproof, however, cleaning with a direct water jet or immersion in water are strictly prohibited. It is not recommended either to use the below products for cleaning as it can increase wear and electronic equipment damage:

  • Liquids containing solvents
  • Detergents containing oil (except if applied to chain and transmission)
  • Detergents for brakes (except when applied to brake discs)
  • Detergents for chain (except when applied to chain)
